Milton Local Court, also known as Milton Court House, is located on Princes Highway in central Milton.

What cases are heard in Milton Court House?

Local Courts hear a variety of criminal matters and drink driving and traffic matters. The following information applies to Milton Local Court, as well as all other Local Courts in Australia.

Most matters will start at the Local Court. The Local Court primarily hears summary offences, which are less serious offences. Examples of such offences include disorderly behaviour and driving under the influence of alcohol or a drug. The Local Court will sometimes hear more serious offences, such as low-level assault, but this is rare. Most serious offences are heard at the District Court and higher Courts.
