
Nyman Gibson Miralis Defence Lawyers and Advisors is pleased to announce that after three years assisting our client in resisting an extradition request from the Republic of Poland, he has been released from extradition custody and is now free to remain in Australia.
On 4 August 2025 the Attorney General’s Office, having considered comprehensive representations by our extradition team, made a determination under section 22(5) of the Extradition Act to not surrender our client in relation to charges brought in 2001 by the Republic of Poland.
This was followed on 6 August 2025 with Magistrate Lopez granting orders to release our client.
