Holbrook is a small town in southern New South Wales. It is on the Hume Highway, 384 kilometres north-east of Melbourne and 492 kilometres south-west of Sydney between Tarcutta and Albury.

Holbrook Local Court, also known as Holbrook Court House, is one of the oldest public buildings remaining in the town and has been associated with the provision of justice in Holbrook since 1873.

What cases are heard in Holbrook Court House?

Local Courts hear a variety of criminal matters and drink driving and traffic matters. The following information applies to Holbrook Local Court, as well as all other Local Courts in Australia.

Most matters will start at the Local Court. The Local Court primarily hears summary offences, which are less serious offences.
