Defence lawyer Regina Hackett graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) and later from the University of New South Wales where she completed a Juris Doctor degree and a Masters in Law. She has a comprehensive understanding of the legal system and executes a high standard of work on all matters that she is involved in.
Regina has international experience having grown up in the Middle East and worked in the social justice sector in the Philippines and Mexico. This experience, coupled with her extensive academic career, has equipped her with the knowledge, skills and tenacity that make her a proficient and resilient solicitor. Regina enjoys working in a fast-paced and diverse legal environment and works tirelessly to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
Regina works closely with Mr Phillip Gibson on a range of serious indictable matters, many of which are transnational in character. Her experience with transnational criminal law reflects the calibre of the firm’s law practice and its innovative and holistic approach to its client’s needs.
Since joining Nyman Gibson Miralis, Regina has worked on numerous complex criminal matters. These include allegations of commercial bribery, money laundering, extradition and proceeds of crime.
