Michelle Macdonald is a passionate criminal defence lawyer who is committed to providing her clients with tactful and realistic advice. She understands that attending court can often be a daunting experience and tries her utmost to ensure her clients know what to expect from the court process.
Before commencing work at Nyman Gibson Miralis, Michelle worked as a tipstaff to the Honourable Justice M Craig QC in the Land and Environment Court of New South Wales. Here, she gained invaluable insight into the workings of a judge’s chambers and developed an in depth understanding of judicial process and the practice of law. Michelle has also worked at Legal Aid in the District Court criminal appeals section.
Michelle works closely with the Partners on all types of general and complex criminal cases and has been significantly involved in permanent stay proceedings before the District Court.
Michelle regularly appears in Local Courts across the state and instructs counsel for matters in the District Court and Supreme Court.
